The Mary Queen of Scots Project
The Mary Queen of Scots Project was aimed at bringing Mary Queen of Scots to life through the power of music.
Louise Macdonald, Contralto has been fascinated by the iconic Scottish queen and started to research Mary’s letters and poetry, separating fact from fiction.
In 2017, after a successful crowdfunding initiative Louise performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with pianist Ingrid Sawers.
The project has grown and involved a whole community, from performers, composers and technical team to friends, family and supporters who donated to the Fringe Fundraiser.
The website of the project was one of the vital media and online instruments to keep the auditory updated about the project’s forthcoming events.
